Sexual Harassment Verdict | Largest in United States History | NJ Sexual Harassment Lawyers

A jury in California awarded a victim of sexual harassment $168 Million representing the largest sexual harassment verdict in the history of the United States.  The jury found that the Plaintiff, a physician’s assistant, was subjected to a hostile work environment due to the sexual harassment and retaliation during her two years of employment.  The employer would constantly make comments to her, slapped her on her butt and tell her “I”m horny.”  The Plaintiff complained on 18 different occasions about the harassment and nothing was done to prevent it.

This is an extremely high verdict and will most likely be cut down by the Court or the Appellate Division to a fraction of the award.  However, it demonstrates that you never know how a jury is going to react to a case and anything can happen at trial.
