Viviana M. Torres focuses her practice on advocating for employees in matters such as workplace discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wrongful termination. Viviana also has experience composing offer letters and revising separation agreements. She is committed to helping clients understand their rights and options. As a first-generation American, college graduate and attorney, Viviana understands the difficulty of navigating unknown systems. Thus, she is driven to alleviate clients’ worries and help them tackle any challenge. She is licensed to practice in NJ and has native fluency in Spanish.

Before joining Castronovo & McKinney, LLC, Viviana gained experience in litigation and transactional defense firms. She counseled private and public employers in various compliance related matters. Viviana also conducted workplace investigations, drafted employment handbooks and responded to demand letters. This valuable insight allows Viviana to better understand and anticipate the motives and strategies of employers.

Viviana earned her law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law and was a Legal Education Opportunity (LEO) Fellow. During her time at SHL, she worked with the Center for Social Justice as a Spanish Interpreter, served as the LALSA Treasurer and was a Themis Campus Representative. She was also recognized under the SHL Pro Bono Service Program for completing at least 50 hours of pro bono work during law school. Viviana obtained her BA in Crime & Justice and Minor in Legal Studies at Albright College. She held multiple roles in Phi Mu and was a Student Admissions Ambassador.

In her spare time, she is an active member of the Hispanic Bar Association of NJ and serves on the Board of Trustees for the non-profit organization, SEEDS-Access Changes Everything. Viviana also enjoys running and playing tennis.
